Job Description
GI is seeking an experienced Inside Sales and Procurement Manager to lead and oversee our global sales and procurement operations. The candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and directing the sales and procurement teams, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality equipment and products, as well as driving sales growth, for the company’s global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction for sales and procurement activities, aligning them with the company’s overall objectives
- Lead and mentor the sales and procurement teams in executing effective strategies and achieving targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze technical specifications and customer requirements, ensuring accurate sales proposals
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies with suppliers to optimize costs, lead times, and quality
- Formulate comprehensive sales and procurement strategies, including identifying potential markets and customer segments
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and customers to drive mutually beneficial partnerships
- Oversee the coordination of sales and procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of products and equipment
- Manage and nurture the supplier and customer network, consistently evaluating performance and alignment with strategy
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges
Required skills and attributes
- Strong ability to analyze technical documents and customer requirements to guide sales and procurement decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at a managerial level
- Proficiency in office software, particularly Microsoft Excel or similar tools
- Expertise in negotiating commercial terms and effectively managing end-to-end sales and procurement processes
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills to lead a globally distributed team
- Effective cross-cultural communication skills for seamless coordination between Dubai and the United States offices
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in business, sales, marketing, or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical disciplines, with a deep understanding of customer’s technical needs
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in managerial roles involving sales and procurement coordination in the engineering sector
