Job Description

We are looking for web developer with expertise in HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. This opportunity is suited for a fast-paced, organized individual who is eager to learn latest in web development technology. Candidate must have extreme attention to detail and work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and update department website content; create new pages for programs, create web graphics; and lay out content for presentation on the web.
• Work closely with our design teams to create engaging and user experience focused web sites and web applications
• Developing user interface components and implementing them
• Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code with extreme attention to detail in code and user experience

Job Requirements

• Strong knowledge in Javascript, CSS3 and HTML5
• Experience in Wordpress or any popular CMS
• Familiarity with Bootstrap
• Familiarity with latest and popular Javascript libraries
• Responsive design skills for mobile and desktop web sites
• Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues
• Experience with CSS animations
• Proficient with a design tool (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch or another visual design tool)
• Familiarity with Git version control system
• Eager to learn new technologies
• A team player with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Experience in application development for we and mobile platforms
• Knowledge of best practices in web development, security, and scalability
• Familiarity with PHP, Ruby or Node.js
• Familiarity with Jekyll
• Familiarity with CSS Preprocessor such as Sass, Scss, Stylus or LESS
